Description:
Although not Latin American by descent, Dr. Manger dedicated his life to fostering understanding and cooperation between the countries of the Americas. He began lecturing at Georgetown University in 1924 and served as Director of the Latin American Studies Program from 1959-1966. Dr. Manger also served as Assistant Director of the Pan American Union (1946-1948) and as Assistant Secretary General for the Organization of American States (1948-1958).
