Description:	From Chicago, Illinois, Dowding was the Intercollegiate Indoor Broad Jump record holder in 1925 with a distance of 23 feet 1 1/8 inches and the Intercollegiate Indoor and Outdoor Broad Jump Champion in 1926. He was named to the All-American College Track Team in 1927. He went to 1924 Olympic Games in Paris as a reserve.
