The International Metalworkers' Federation in Geneva, Switzerland commissioned the print. The Federation united over 14 million workers in 165 unions in 70 countries. The edition was press-printed by Arthur Larson at the Hampshire Typothetae prior to April 22, 1983. This hand-printed artist's proof was made before the press-printed edition.
