    Abstract
    This thesis analyzes the evolution of urban civil-society mobilization in Brazil after the end of the military dictatorship, in order to understand the astounding changes in the main features of mass protests from May 2013 until August 2015. This analysis will also help the comprehension of the current critical political situation the country is going through and results in the picturing of potential outcomes to the structure of political civil society actors in the country.
