    The Vita abbreviata sanctae Birgittae is taken from an account by Petrus Olai, who is considered responsible for recording St. Bridget's revelations and commentary in Latin

    Full-page woodcut on title page of St. Bridget giving the rule of her order, 6 other full-page, 1 half-page, and 51 smaller woodcuts in text. The ill. have been variously attributed to Albrecht Dürer, the Master of the Bergmann Printing House, and the artist of Narrenschiff and Ritter von Turn
