    Psalter with monastic offices
     
    Script: Written in Gothic book-hand
     
    Layout: 23 long lines, frame ruled in ink, catchwords
     
    Decoration: Penflourished intitials throughout, alternating red and blue initials at verse or prayer openings. Dominical letters "A" in calendar: blue and red
     
    Binding: Contemporary binding. Wooden boards with blind tooling. Round leather tabs on outer edges of the text block. Two metal clasps attached to the board with metal hinge. Raised bands on the spine.
     
    Origin: Probably written in Germany in the 14th century. On fol. 16v. "Hunc librum legauit Hermmanus Zywerding vicarius in Coesueld sororibus ibidem habitantibus uppen Klinkenberg."
     
    Shelfmark: Jogues Collection.
     
    Includes a compass shaped guide to the liturgical calendar, a calendar, litany to the saints and other prayers, the last two folios contain prayer with the rubric "De S[an]cto Paulo patrono n[ost]ro."
     
    The verso of the last folio has added text in Latin in a different hand.
