Includes text of 1815 Federal charter, 1844 corporate charter, decree of the Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith re awarding Doctorates in Scared Theology (S.T.D.s), 1833. Also listing of honorary degrees awarded from John Tuomy in 1821 to Thomas Watson in 1951. Includes honorary degree citations (including for James Brown Scott and W. Coleman Nevils, S.J., October 27, 1928, J. Edgar Hoover, June 6, 1939, and Prince Abdul Ilan, the Regent of Iraq, May 31, 1945 -- with reference to Baghdad College).
