Browse by
In 1964 Pope Paul VI instituted a special department of the Roman Curia for relations with followers of other religions, now known as the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID). The nature and goals of the Council are to promote respect, mutual understanding, and collaboration between Catholics and the followers of other religious traditions; to encourage the study of religions; and to promote the formation of persons dedicated to dialogue.
