Description
Journal of the Observatory of Georgetown College, 1841-1943. Described on its first page as a "Journal of things relating to the Observatory with the names of Scientific, Literary, and other distinguished persons who visited the Observatory or have done some favour towards the same commencing in 1841." Annals of the Astronomical Observatory of Georgteown College, Number 1, Containing the Description of the Observatory and Use of the Transit Instrument, and Meridian Circle", 1852. Edward Dunigan & Brother, New York. Sketches of Observatory and equipment. Reprints stamped "Georgetown College Observatory, Washington, D.C." These are on matters relating to astromony, and include one ("Colors of Early-Type Stars in the Southern Milky Way") by Francis J. Heyden, S.J., and one ("Manilia Observatory") by William C. Repetti, S.J. Other authors are Miguel Selga, S.I., and Edward C. Phililips, S.J. "Columbia" Magazine, March 1941, with article, "Shadow Chasers," by Paul A. McNally, S.J.
