Football has been played on campus at Georgetown since at least 1830, with the first intercollegiate game being played in 1889. The University Archives houses various material about football at Georgetown dating back to these early days and includes game programs, media guides, posters, news clippings, team and player statistics, photographs, and game footage among other items.

The Georgetown University Football collection contains digitized materials about the Georgetown University Football Team. The first installment of digitized materials consists of game footage, in whole or in part, dating from 2007-2010. More material will become available as it is digitized.
