Italian Crime: How Does Crime Influence Italian Unemployment?

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between crime and unemployment in Italy. I set out to do so using data on crime, unemployment, and a variety of control variables retrieved from Italy’s Istituto Nazionale di Statistica (ISTAT). I propose a fixed effects regression technique for Italian unemployment on three measures of crime. My hypothesis was that crime would negatively influence Italian provincial employment. The final results were mixed.
