Abstract
This thesis addresses dual identity formation in survivors of sexual assault. When living in an unsympathetic environment, this thesis argues that identities imposed by external forces can be utilized as a protective mechanism against the corruption of a primary identity. Further addressed is the use of storytelling as a means of healing and progression towards identity integration.
