In this interview Sivagami "Shiva" Subbaraman and Jose Ramos (C '19) continue their conversation from the interview on April 22, 2021. The discussion focuses on the value of the programming offered by the Center, specifically the Journey’s Retreat and Lavender Graduation. Ramos speaks about the significance of the Retreat in his own personal journal, which gave him the confidence to come out to his mother. Subbaraman and Ramos go on to discuss the history and significance of Lavender Graduation, including the impact of bringing an LGBTQ alumnus back to campus as the keynote speaker every year, and talk about the planning for the 10th anniversary celebration for Lavender Graduation in 2019.
