Casey Jr (Ret.), 36th Army Chief of Staff and Joel Kupersmith, M.D., the report issued by the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Denis McDonough detailing a plan to close hospitals and clinics and to construct new ones that better meet the needs of today’s veteran population, the 80th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid during World War II, efforts of the U.S. veteran population to support Ukraine in the fight against Russia either through humanitarian assistance or by signing up to fight in the “international legion” of volunteers from around the world created by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the establishment of an Advisory Committee on Tribal and Indian Affairs by the VA to advise on Native American matters, information on the Pension Bureau Building as part of the “History of the VA in 100 Objects” project at the VA History Office, and an update on the unemployment rate amongst the veteran population. Also includes select statistics from the annual survey findings of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America on veteran suicides, job satisfaction, volunteer hours, and the biggest challenges faced when transitioning out of the military.en_US
