The topic of this issue focuses on the publishing of Supporting Veterans After 50 Years of the All-Volunteer Force and 20 Years of War: Ideas Moving Forward by Gen. George W. Casey and Joel Kupersmith, M.D. The issue highlights the salient points of the book and includes comments on the book from former Secretaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Bob McDonald and James B. Peake. This issue also includes a link to a webinar held in support of the book on June 22, 2022 featuring the authors and Secretaries McDonald and Peake. The statistics section features a breakdown of the Medal of Honor winners from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars based on four categories: assault on the enemy, position was attacked by the enemy, ambushed on an operation, or air action.
