Description
Holograph letter from [John Ryan], St. Catherine's, Meath Street, Dublin, to 'my dear Monsignor', with sincere congratulations on his appointment on personal grounds as much as the principle of non-interference with the Irish national College. Remarking that John Hagan of Maynooth '(poor old Hunt!!)', Ballytore and Halston Street is 'Morrissey's one hope of getting a decent parish and a red shirt'. Warning of Canice [O'Gorman] who 'knows too well where to get a good glass of malt in Rome!'
