    Handwritten [translation of news item from Washington paper]. The demonstrations in the Italian Chamber [of Deputies] organised by (representative) Mauri caused a very good impression: large numbers of American women expressed their thanks to the Italian Embassy for this proof of sympathy for Ireland.
