Description
Holograph letter from Bishop J. MacRory, St. Malachy’sCollege, Belfast (County Antrim), to Hagan, having received his letter and expressing gratitude for Pope Pius XI's magnificent generosity in returning Peter's Pence and adding to it. The Orangemen, always claiming that Rome takes and gives nothing back, will hearken at this. Asking to impart his diocese's heartfelt gratitude. Should he still need to appeal to America to save workers from hunger, the Pope's example will help. (Pope Pius XI is named, though only elected 6 February.)
