Description
Holograph letter from Archbishop J.M. Harty, The Palace, Thurles (County Tipperary), to (Hagan), enclosing petition for [marriage] dispensation (not extant). Stating it is unlikely he will go to Rome this year since he is unwilling 'to leave the country while this strife lasts'. It is hard to tell whether the end is in fact rapidly approaching as according to general belief.
