Description
Holograph letter from Angela Mullin, Strokestown, (County Roscommon), to the Holy Father. Having had no response for her urgent appeal of October, stating her charges at some length (in a rambling manner) – seeking to bring the bishop and parish priest before an ecclesiastical court for, calling to witness her former parish priest Fr. P.[Kelly] and various priests on missions. Mainly charging bishop and secretary with conniving at her husband's adulteries and brutality towards her before her children. Elaborating on disturbing instances of domestic violence enacted by her husband. Also commenting on Ireland's loss of her soul in the current struggle. Warning against wolves in sheep's clothing in the church. Remarks about educating children according to the gospel and an altercation with the current priest.
