Description
Holograph letter from Bishop Bernard J. Mahoney, Bishop's House, Sioux Falls South Dakota (U.S.A.), to (Hagan), with Easter greetings for him and the circle at the five o'clock tea. Reporting easily on joys and problems connected with his new bishopric. To illustrate 'some of the culture out this way', recounting the rejoinder given by a priest whom he had to reprimand for violence against congregation members: '"Bishop, the man I hit called me a red-headed son- of-a-bitch". You can imagine the confusion of the ordinary at a subsumption of that kind'. Expressing loneliness for Rome; Hagan will find his successor, Mooney, alright.
