Description
Holograph letter from Séamus [Ua Deaghdha], Galway, to Denny [Hynes]. Stating that his forecast for the vote was correct, believing the votes fell 17, 7 and 1. Three names were sent on; (obscure) reference to the dignus, dignior and dignissimus. Expecting recipient is in last stages of studying for the exam. Then commenting that there is no prospect of peace; no peace-maker has a chance with the overall passive Free Staters. Denny will appreciate the standard of values seeing the two new Justices of the Peace appointed from his own parts, John McInerney and Dr. Peter O'Dwyer; justice will not be done by them.
