Description
Two holograph letters from John Dunne, Castlebridge, Wexford, to Hagan. Grateful for his comments on Dunne's article dealing with localities known to or founded by Palladius. Explaining he needed to justify the nomination as president of the Kinsella Society. In reply, agreeing for instance that Tigroney and Donard were part of Palladius's missionary area, pointing to details on a map by Petty, showing a road to Wicklow; other points about boundaries, and the late medieval diocese of Glendalough. Reference to Healsy's Journeys of St. Patrick. Explaining then he stayed anonymous for lack of scholarly accreditation; expressing is appreciation of Hagan's critique and regard.
