Description
Miss Weldon seeking justice and charity File of holograph and typescript correspondence between H. Weldon, Rome, and Hagan. She seeks an annuity from the Congregation for Religious; asking for assistance on her own terms and ultimately a petition to the Holy Father. Since the case failed at the congregation, Hagan finally offers financial help despite her past ungrateful behaviour also to others; she refuses; planning to stay and work in Rome. Both state her Jesuit friend had been ill-advised who encouraged her to take the case to Rome. Bitter accusations to him for past want of charity and understanding with her case; the church has acted shamefully towards her. (See other items in 1923 and 1924, and also two undated items in HAG2.)
