Description
Holograph letter from [C.] Curran, 15 Garville Avenue, Rathgar (Dublin), to Hagan, enclosing holograph letter from J.W.[Good], 24 Herbert Place, Dublin, to Curran, apologising for a mistake in the Statesman, explaining he had thought he could trust his source. [Harper] saw the Statesman and told him even before Curran's note about his mistake. (Unidentified addition in pencil identifying [Harper] as the editor of the Freeman's Journal.) – Curran defends Good's journalistic honesty; not believing the piece had a more malicious origin. Hagan need only make it clear that he has nothing to do with government or public. Enclosing other paragraph which may help to correct the matter (not extant). He will pass Hagan's letter on (probably HAG1/ 1923/234). [30 April – 7 May 1923]
