Description
Holograph letter from J. Ward, Parochial House, Armagh, to Hagan, enclosing donation for the famine in central Europe. They seem to near an end to the southern troubles. Observing the sending of Luzio without previous notice to the bishops was a blunder; the cardinal knows the Irish College knew nothing of it. He saw Hagan did not present at the reception given to their majesties. Their altar is nearing completion. Asking why he did not give them a 'look in' for Raphoe; Quinn was talked about briefly. Inviting him to stay. Settling financial matter concerning a pension.
