Description
Holograph letter from Mother Mary Columba Sullivan, Superioress of Presentation School, the Presbytery, Quetta, Balushistan, India, to Hagan. Asking him to obtain the papal blessing for those Irish nuns that founded the first convent in Balushistan. Explaining that the Presentation nuns have been founding convents on the frontiers of India; the house in Quetta could not be founded for a long time because of dearth of sisters. Enclosing a printed appeal with handwritten comment recently sent to Ireland and America for funds to allay the great difficulties in the province due to the bank failure; he could present this to the Pope in applying for the blessing. Adding that the Jesuits left their accommodation to them; listing the other three sisters on the mission; praying for postulants.
