Holograph letter from Sr. Mary F. deSales Dargan, Loreto Abbey, Rathfarnham (Dublin), to (Hagan). Since he knows of Sr. (Mary) Ignatia Kerrigan's dismissal and her appeal, giving him the background of the case. The sister had a violent attack of 'acute mania' on 26 April but although she recovered such bouts are thought to return; defending those deciding on her dismissal also on the grounds that Sr. Ignatia had never seemed quite happy in religion. Querying their treatment of the case and the usefulness of having temporary vows in the light of Canon Law. Also questioning the arguments used by her family in trying to lay blame on the convent.
