Holograph letter from Bishop John Gallagher, Bishop's House, Goulburn (Australia), to Hagan. Enclosing draft (for a pension); expressing disappointment over an investment made by O'Riordan for a Goulburn burse which is not profitable. The student chosen by him was also not successful; Hagan was right to send Mr. Dillon back to Ireland. Although he had hoped O'Donnell would come to fill a vacancy this year it now seems better to leave their Catholics withouta priest altogether.
