Description
Holograph letter from Sr. (Mary) Paulinus, Convent of the Holy Faith, 41 Lower Dominick Street (Dublin), to Hagan, with personal and family news. She spends five hours a day learning Irish. Lizzie and Michael Clarke are very well. Mentioning her retreat during the feast of St. Paulinus. Describing her difficulties in disposing of a legacy left to her by Mrs. Doyle; she decided to give it to the convent in [Mullinavat]. Sure that Michael Clarke will yet say mass for her. Hoping to see Dr. O'Gorman before she goes back; also wishing to sit against a haystack in [Mullinavat] 'and a big Irish Grammar in my hand'.
