Description
Holograph letter from P.J. Walsh, Archbishop's House, Dublin, to Hagan. Sketching the journey of (the Archbishop and his company) to Bobbio. There are various encouragements made for joining the pilgrimage and an appeal was made in the papers for financial assistance for Bobbio. Replying to a matter concerning P. Dempsey; the congregation had best refer the matter back to the archbishop – hoping for his sake that the matter will rest. Also replying that he has no knowledge of the Marquis McSweeney's prospective appointment. The elections are unpredictable. Brief mentions of Morrissey and Canice O'Gorman; Paddy Rowan's ill health. Then inquiring about two unresolved matrimonial cases before the Congregation of the Sacraments.
