dc.description | Holograph letter from M.[J.Curran], Seminario, Bobbio to (Hagan), stating that the Bishop of Piacenza made 'most exceptional arrangements' in honour of the pilgrimage. Last arrangements for accommodation; listing attendants. Dublin and Galway University Colleges will be represented; Cosgrave is accompanied by six including McNeill and McSweeney- the sotto prefetto will accommodate them in Bobbio. Also the 'fascists' of Piacenza telegraphed those of Bobbio 'to do all honour to the pilgrims as the Italians are friends of Ireland'. Monsignor J.J. Ryan is already complaining; Curran and the students stay at the 'ginnasio'. Asking to send on the lord mayor. Adding there will be the Bishops of Dublin, Tuam, Cork and (Down and Connor). | |
