Description
Holograph letter from Shane Leslie, Secret Chamberlain to His Holiness, The Dublin Review, 28 Orchard Street, London W.1, to (Hagan). Enclosing cutting from that day's Morning Post (not extant) concerning Monsignor O'Riordan. Stating he still has his Red Book which he had lent to the American Press. Also enclosing article on Dr. Patrick O'Hely for Hagan's martyrological work (not extant). In jest, adding a list of seven requisites for 'my Irish solution', including the placements of Mannix in Armagh as apostolic dele- gate, of Hagan in Cashel and of Fr. O'Flanagan in Tuam; the proclamation of the Uí Néill dynasty and the restoration of modified Brehon Law.
