Description
Holograph letter from Archbishop T.P. Gilmartin, Instituto Ravasco, Piazza Carignano, Genoa, to (Hagan). He arrived with the Bishop of Bobbio after a splendid drive through the Appenines. Expecting the Archbishop [...], while Cork and Down are there already. The celebration was a success. Cosgrave stressed the unpolitical nature of his visit. He thinks he put the writer for the Corriere on the right track. Sketching his travel plans. Having seen the polls, commenting the republicans could do a lot of good if they formed a constitutional opposition. 'A continuance of last year's tactics will destroy the country'.
