Description
Holograph letter from Bishop A. Brownrigg of Ossory, Kilkenny, to Hagan. Explaining that he has been negligent in treating the parish of St. Patrick’s as incorporated in St. Mary’s, following a permission from 1887 which he did not have renewed. Asking for intervention at the congregation, to condone his actions, and grant the fruits of the parish a sanatio. Coadjutor Downey will go on his visit ad limina in 1924 to see to the matter properly. Stating that in his advanced age, and after forty years in the episcopate, he is not able for much now.
