Description
Holograph letter from Bishop Charles McHugh, Derry, to (Hagan), confirming that Fr. McGurk was a domestic prelate. Unhappy that the vestments have not been sent yet by Tizzi. Comments on young [Fr.] Gallen who was home for a while for ill health, but presumably back in Rome now. Sending a good student by the name of [Devane]. At home things are in the same muddled state –predicting a collapse if no change to the better occurs. There is fear of unusual hardships for the coming winter.
