Holograph letter from P.J. Walsh, Archbishop's House, Dublin, to Hagan, enclosing document nominating Hagan representative at the Superior Council of the [Pia Unione] of Propaganda Fide (not extant) for Van Rossum. It is the final court of appeal for the distribution of funds. Commenting that the Dempsey dossier must have amused him- Dempsey finds Blanchardstown unsuited to his musical tastes. Also referring to Paddy Rowan, seriously ill; a 'most admirable uomo di Dio'. Con Murphy and the other 'latest ambassadors' have not yet returned from Rome.
