Description
Handwritten memorandum by [M.J. Curran], Rome, 'on the conversation with Signor Costa'. Detailed summary of Curran's brief account to Costa of the Irish Martyrs' cause: discussing the number of causes there were; the specific evidence by Fr. Rushe; the difficulties of obtaining either obtaining documents or of properly authenticating them, because of the war. Curran's own past office as notarius actuarius; his confidence in his successor and his ignorance as to the merits or demerits of the present notarius, the vice postulator, or anybody else involved – stating that the conversation only reflected on the last mentioned. Also referring to their last meeting which included Gavan Duffy.
