Description
Typescript summary of a petition from W. Kruszka P. P., Delegate of the second Polish Congress, Milwaukee (U.S.), to Pope Pius XI, with handwritten addition by [...], S. Luigi (Rome). Kruszka protests against naturalization methods deployed by German and Irish American bishops on the Polish there. Emphasising the necessity to appoint Polish bishops, but also nuncios, and to establish Polish diocesan institutions. Asking the Pope act according to Pius X's promises; it would avoid a schism. – Handwritten addition identifies Kruszka as a priest who stayed at S. Luigi, then returned to Poland where he may have had an influence on the Polish Diet against American naturalization methods.
