Description
Holograph letter from Thomas O'Hagan, 420 Church Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Hagan, with good wishes. He was in Ireland with his cousin, editor of the Kerry People. Welcoming the Holy Father's allocution declaring the prospects good for a peaceful solution. Opinions are divided in north America, but he found much support for DeValera when lecturing in Chicago; Fr. O'Flanagan was there at the time. Wondering about the number of bishops of Irish extraction in colonies besides America, for an article. Also trying to argue against those who exaggerate the number of Irish turning from the faith; asking about sources. Asking date of the centenary celebrations at the Irish College. Commenting on the hard task ahead for the newly appointed Bishop of Victoria, British Columbia, O'Donnell.
