Holograph letter from Patrick Barton, The Presbytery, Ardfert, County Kerry, to Hagan, enclosing cheque towards the building of the Sacred Heart church in Rome. Asking for a papal blessing for his sister, Sr. Mary Louis Barton. His curate Bill O'Riordan is in troubled waters. Then commenting on Fr. O'Callaghan of Eyeries taking the bishop to the civil court- were the old Bishop Mangan still alive then this would not have happened; Bishop O'Sullivan gives 'no quarter for a Manganite'. Inviting him to visit Ardfert, 'the ancient See of St. Brendan without the Crozier'. Enclosing list of [contributors to the charity].
