Description
Typescript letter with handwritten addition signed by Archbishop James Duhig of Brisbane, Archbishop's House, "Dara", Brisbane (Australia), to Hagan, enclosing draft for students' pensions; adding particulars. Expecting Frs. Bolton and English back in Australia at the end of the year. Hoping to send two or three students to Rome, including the very promising James Madden. While prospects for the Catholic faith are very good generally, they suffer from a shortage of priests: he could place twenty more as long as they are of the 'educated, zealous, hardworking' class.
