Description
Holograph letter from Bishop Patrick McKenna, Bishop’s House, Monaghan, to Hagan, having lodged Peter’s Pence and student Eugene Duffy’s pension to the College’s account. Then seeking to have validated two appointments to the diocesan chapter, made by him without recourse to the chapter itself after a new code was introduced; welcoming the new code. Also asking to inform the Congregation of the Council of McKenna’s approval of the chapter’s new statutes. Finally reiterating request for a papal prize; to be used for raising funds for their seminary; at the most he could spend £ 100. Now attached handwritten draft by (Hagan) [and Tizi] to Monsignor [...], petitioning for a gift.
