Description
Holograph letter from J. [Weir-]Johnston, Venice, to Hagan. Regretting he received an introduction to him too late to use it when in Rome. He did, however, meet Curran who can tell him ‘what sort of a [...] Irishman (and) black Protestant I am’. Enclosing holograph letter from Nancy K. O’Neill, Ard-Owen, Derry, to Hagan, asking to arrange access to a papal audience for friends, Major [Weir]-Johnston and wife; they are not Catholics. Hoping Hagan will come to Derry one day. [8-24 April 1924]
