Description
Typescript letter with handwritten insertions signed T.F. Cummins, 15 Henrietta Street, Waterford, Ireland, to Pope Pius XI, asking for justice in his case against the Bishop of Waterford. Explaining that he was unjustly deprived of occupation 18 years ago, without charges. Although acting on the advice of the Congregation of the Council, nothing has been done to be placed on the mission; calling his treatment a public scandal. He lives of the generosity of the people. (According to handwritten remark this document was returned from the Sacra Rota. Covering letter does not exist, but see Latin petition 26 March- 10 April.) [1-8 July 1924]
