Description
Holograph letter from Michael McHugh, The City Home, St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, to Hagan. Describing his present straits – hard work, poverty, financial obligations to a woman, thugs on the streets; contact with the dead through 'The Radio'. Expecting the Irish government will pay his way back since he helped them in getting what they now have; asking generally for assistance. The Protestants running the poor house will not let him back home. Remembering happy years in Rome. (Writer suffers from strong delusions; student in College 1909- 1917 and Register Book #764.)
