Description
Holograph letter from M.[J.Curran], 15 Garville Avenue, Rathgar (Dublin), to Hagan. According to the archbishop nothing can be done before the October meeting. He will support them 'short of withdrawing the students', which tactic he said the bishops would never follow since it would be a direct attack on the Holy See. He also is for having the new College vested in the names of the Irish archbishops, and hopes nothing will happen to jeopardise the goodwill of the Irish clergy and people; adapting a fortiter in re suaviter in modo-line. He promised the College a sum for the site at Tivoli.
