Description
Holograph letter from James F. Hyland, Catholic Presbytery, Mornington (Melbourne, Australia), to Hagan. Explaining that due to unexplained hostility shown to him by Archbishop Mannix he will leave the diocese. Bishop Morrisroe is not likely to receive him warmly: 'he seems to think there are only Maynooth priests in the Irish Church'. Therefore, he is contacting the Bishop of Los Angeles; asking for a letter on his behalf. He met former students of the College who are all doing their Alma Mater proud. Regretting his sister wrote to Hagan years ago on trouble with the bishop. Thanking him for past kindness.
