Description
Holograph letter from John Cullen, Hill House, Maguiresbridge, County Fermanagh, to Cardinal Gasparri, Rome. Rambling letter aimed against priests amassing wealth which ought to be put to use for the Holy Ghost Missionaries, in need of funds- enclosing newspaper cutting from The Universe with petition for donations. Also expressing the danger imminent from a plotting 'Antichrist' [former Kaiser Wilhelm II], the Bolsheviks, and the English royal family who are really Prussians and in league with the leopard of the Apocalypse. Also enclosing text of the divine praises, criticising his local priest for neglecting the Holy Ghost in his benediction. (Covering letter not extant.)
