Description
Holograph letter from M.J. Curran, 15 Garville Avenue, Rathgar (Dublin), to Hagan. Hoping Hagan will decide to stay where he is since they can afford to wait better than the others. He never saw the archbishop so moved and indignant as over this scandal; detailing both the latter's and his own views on preferred strategy. There is time to consider the matter before the October meeting. (The archbishop of) Dublin is 'played out' after (the Bishop of) Bobbio's visit. Awaiting Hagan's instructions for his remaining time in Ireland. Brief reference to 'the "Most Rev."' having been at Newry and to their friends being aware of his vanity. Mentioning a meeting with Ronayne on his return from Limerick. Remarks on Tonnini's statue, and book purchases.
